Kingman’s Ivy Room opened its doors
in December 2006.

The former Ivy Room, a staple of East Bay nightlife since the 1940’s, now boasts a custom-created martini menu and a swanky lounge feel that harkens back to the bar’s original era.

What makes Kingman’s Ivy Room unique?

Our “living room" atmosphere.
Original neon signage has been painstakingly restored, front-facing glass windows are no longer boarded up and lowered ceilings have been raised to create a hip, airy atmosphere with chocolate walls, comfy seating and glowing lighting. The combination of modern and vintage elements makes it inviting…the perfect place for kicking back with good company and your favorite cocktail.

Smooth music. From R&B and Reggae, to upbeat dance mixes, to down-tempo jazz and retro vinyl treasures, Kingman’s Ivy Room is always easy on the ears. Our DJs are some of the best in the Bay Area. Look for announcements for free live jazz and other events.

An eclectic crowd. Kingman’s Ivy Room attracts a diverse crowd from all over the Bay Area. You’ll feel at home whether you’re young or young-at-heart, single or married, straight or gay, local or visiting from afar. The scene is laidback, fun and friendly.

Great-priced, delicious drinks. You’ll find the best-made old standards from gimlets to manhattans; as well as delish custom creations such as the “Poison Ivy” martini and “Sinatra’s Living Room”―all at competitive prices. Not to mention great daily happy hour specials.

According to the CBS Eye on the Bay, Kingman’s Ivy Room is “the coolest thing to happen to San Pablo Avenue in years.” Come join us tonight for a drink. We’re open seven nights a week. Cheers!
